A Healthy Lunch

It is officially a medical fact that while hubby and I may feel like we are thirty despite being in our mid-forties, we are both middle aged. Once this news sunk in it was time to make some lifestyle changes although we both agreed the Sav-blanc was here to stay. As my hubby’s blood pressure and cholesterol were high, he was prescribed medication, and I played my part by upping the meal time ante and providing foods to turn back the body clock. To be honest, I don’t have much of a choice in the matter because since his realisation that he’s getting on a bit, he’s turned into Inspector Clouseau when it comes to reading labels on food items. Anyway on Friday he had Japanese Hokkien noodles with a marinated beef stir-fry (leftovers) for lunch. It was nice at the time he told me later. Unfortunately, he realised glancing in his car’s rearview mirror at the end of his work day he’d spent the afternoon looking like Heath Ledger’s Joker. His healthy beef stirfry’s beef marinade had left a bright orange stain all around his mouth and the realisation he’d spent the afternoon chatting to people looking like that sent his blood pressure soaring.
