MICHELLE VERNAL

Michelle Vernal is an English-born Kiwi whose parents emigrated from Liverpool – often called “Little Ireland” – when she was small. An avid reader, she grew up on a steady diet of Enid Blyton books, home baking, and her mum’s vivid tales of life in the port city. As an adult, she graduated to Maeve Binchy, Cathy Kelly, Sheila O'Flanagan and Marian Keyes, and fell head over heels for Ireland the moment she set foot on its green shores.

After living in Ireland for a period – where her husband Paul proposed – Michelle now sprinkles the humour, warmth, and lyrical charm of the Emerald Isle into her Irish Guesthouse on the Green, Little Irish Village and The Irish Adoption House stories. She writes uplifting stories set in places readers long to visit, where ordinary women discover that home isn't just somewhere you live, it's the people who welcome you in - the kind of characters you’ll wish you could share a pot of tea with.
